Excuse my lack of posts...I've been ultra busy getting our home ready. It's up for sale eeek!!!

We made the decision to up and sell a few weeks ago. Been toying with the idea for years now and have finally bitten the bullet.

Looking for an agent was not a great experience. For some reason I just dont trust ANY. Maybe because I used to work in real estate and the industry mentality is "do anything to make a sale". Hopefully the agent we choose is somewhat professional and objective.

Anywho - below are some pics they are using for marketing.

How was your weekend? Beautiful days here in Melbourne..but with spring comes hayfever. AARRGGHH!

As always I'm useless this time of year...you wouldn't think someone can sneeze hundreds of times in one day - I'm living proof.

Thrift trip

Hi dolls,

Haven't had a chance to do much thrifting lately *BOOOOO*!

Managed to squeeze in a quick trip though at my fave spot - Vinnies Hoppers Crossing. I found these funky print loose pants - gorg with a black singlet, sandals and huge a$$ sunnies. Unfortunately,  they don't fit *curse curse curse* so I will be adding this pair to my ebay shop.

Next item is a cute as a button Sportsgirl summer clutch.

And finally, two timber picture frames. I have a ton of photos that need to be developed and displayed, so I decided to start collecting frames to go up along the hallway at home - I'm naming it my "hall of fRame"!

Reworked vintage

Just another dress that I've reworked. Didn't really do much to this one - just removed the shoulder pads and hemmed up the skirt.

Unfortunately this dress is no longer available - I sold it during my recent market stint.

Hello Sailor Vintage Fair

UUUgggghhhh how ugly is the weather in Melbourne at the moment. Seriously depressing.

Anywho - on a brighter note, I will be setting up shop at the upcoming Hello Sailor Vintage Fair on the 29th August. It's my first time and sounds like a crazy market for super cool peeps like me and you! So make sure you pop by and say hello....

I will be stocking some reworked and original vintage and recycled clothing, a few bags, some shoes, fashion jewellery - mainly vintage earrings. Here's a sneak peak!

Reworked vintage

Hi dolls! Hope you haven't forgotten about me!

Today I just wanted to show you a reworked vintage piece. So I've been totally obsessed with the blog New Dress A Day - blog owner Marisa aims to spend $1 on fashion for a whole year and she's actually keeping to her budget!

It definitey has inspired me to get my "creative juices" pumping. I am no designer or fashion expert but I definitely love the challenge. Opportunity knocked on my door when I came across this dress at the local trash and treasure market. I liked the top and knew I could somehow make it look current (errr I hoped anyway).

I got rid of the sleeves and I pretty much deconstructed the whole dress. I used my dressmakers dummy (first time I actually used it to alter clothing) to pin the sections all back together. Sewed, sewed, sewed. Then made a fabric flower (I love GOOGLE!) to replace the button and voila! I think it turned out ok...

The only problem is it was supposed to fit me but I umm forgot to change the dummy's size to reflect mine?! Therefore the dress probably fits a size 8 or small 10 hahahaha I'm a ditz sometimes *sigh*

A wedding

Yes I know...totally MIA. Can't seem to getaway from bub!

Anywho - have you noticed I've made some changes to my blog? I've been meaning to do this for some time now and found time today *happy dance*.

Recently I attended a close friend's wedding and it ROCKED! Congrats to C&K - wishing you two love ever after.

The cake was made by a cool Melbourne girl Zelicious who has some serious cake making talent.

Connector Double Finger rings IN STORE!

I came across these awesome connector rings through a girlfriend of mine who is totally obsessed! Rihanna rocked it with her BAD ring and Lauren Conrad with her name connector ring.

Thrift trip

Hi dolls!

I have been very slack with my posts of late. My furniture revamps have been put on hold due to the chilly weather, so  I'm saving that for the warmer months. Op shopping trips are few and far between as I don't want to lug bub around in the cold. But in saying that - I have managed to get out a couple of times. Here are some items I've picked up for my ebay shop.

One shoulder hot hot dress. I would keep this if I coud fit into it - damn you fat!

Semi - sheer top with embroided detail around the neck and sleeves

How cool is this neckace? It's a fan with a phoenix painted on it. On the back there is slight embossing but I couldn't get a proper pic - shame really.
